You have just been "trial-ballooned" by Chertoff and Tiny Sean on the whole issue of illegal immigrants and what we are to do with them.
Our administration seems to have decided that we are going to buy the hogwash that sending them all back or imprisoning them and those who hire them is "impractical".
With his "reach" to the heartland Hannity is an official channel for the administration...and that is dis-heartening. They just don't get it. We are not buying their crap. This is indeed the Achilles heel for Bush and the Republicans. It will be just as fatal as it was for Achilles.

The Whig party was unable to straddle both sides of the slavery issue and ended up disappearing and being replaced by the Republicans. I do not believe that the issues of illegal immigration and increasing socialism can be straddled. The Republicans will either have to come down forcefully on the side opposite the Democrats, or a third party will rise and take their place. I fear that such a change will result in years of Democratic control of the White House and Congress. On the other hand, I fear that without that change we will face an even longer period of control of the government by the current batch of crypto-Democrats calling themselves Republicans.

I completely agree. You know it's not the war that has me completely upset at Bush..........it is all the other stupid shit he has pulled:

-open borders
-campain finance legislation approval without paycheck protection
-prescription drug benifits
-Miers Nomination
-Katrina and all the cronyism
-huge deficits

This is why his approval is so low and why Democrats are going to clean up in 2006. I supported him in the last two elections, but my opinion has really changed. I really think Bush doesn't know what the F**k he is doing. It's really sad to watch............really wish we had another Regan or a true leader. It's not Bush...........he is just to out of touch with the base and he is no conservative.
