I would like to know if the cover story for Clinton's attacks on the "aspirin" factory in Sudan, the AQ camps in Afghanistan and the bombing of Baghdad in the summer of 1998 are true.
The story is that Saddam was helping Bin Laden produce VX nerve gas at the factory (partly owned by Bin Laden) in Sudan. Iraqi chemical weapons experts had visited the plant numerous times and a CIA team found a precursor chemical to VX in the soil at the plant (a chemical that only Iraq used and could only be produced by the Iraqi VX production method).
The media and the Republicans buried the story assuming it really was an aspirin factory and the attacks were just a diversion from Monica-gate.
Lots of evidence has surfaced that Saddam really was trying to give VX to Bin Laden. He gave up after finding out the US was on to him. Sudan offered Bin Laden up to the US several times right after as well.
