Huck, I've lived in New Jersey for many years and I think it's a fantastic place to live but could be oh so much better if it weren't for the insane taxes, the attorneys driving insurance rates through the roof, the NJEA, the anti-gun mentality, and the crooks in Trenton.
I never stop b!tching about how it could be so much better. I even try to vote for better government, but I'm in the minority and it's getting worse.

NJ rocks. You could easily make all those same complaints about the country as a whole. Taxation, lawyers, etc. Boo-hoo. The common cold sucks, too. Get used to it. The reason we have higher taxes is because we have more property, at a higher value, and more jobs, than most other places in the country. The reason other states don't have as high taxes is you can't get blood from an f-in stone. I pay the property taxes, and the car insurance, and I've still got PLENTY left over. Would I like to keep more? Sure! And I'd like to have back the crappy medicare and ss and fed income taxes too. Oh well, it's the price you pay for having a great paying job in an abundant state. I could always move to North Dakota or Mississippi, pay low taxes, live in a trailer and drive a car with no friggin headlights!
