Just got this from the breaking news queue --
BC-APNewsAlert,0021
TOKYO (AP) -- A 6.9-magnitude quake hits ocean east of Japan; tsunami warning issued.
Amen to that! I heard the itinerary was Japan/S. Korea/China/Mongolia over 8 days (a long trip for this POTUS)
We have an exchange student from Taiwan living with us and when I told him about this quake/tsunami warning, he said something funny. He said, "They'll be fine. The Japanese are like ants. They all move very fast and they stick together (he put his hands together to show them all coming together in a big group). They are very efficient. They will be just fine. Don't worry." LOL I hope he's right.
ping me when you get into such discussions.
AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!
;^P
Maybe that's why Johnny Cash fell into it.
(Walkingfeather checks over his left should to see captain Barbosa holding a apple)
Well when it hit Puget Sound , Delmont will be in his canoe, which he has conveniently placed in the hayloft of Willy's barn, kind of like taking a kayak off the rocks or doing a dock start waterskiing. My canoe will be dry until the surf hits 10' ,the I can just paddle off into the sunset, not worrying a bit about Maurice and Velveeta who live on the other side of the tracks, right on the beach
What'd Japan ever do to him?
Can I ask why you decided to come out of it?
***Start a thread in Religion. I would love to hear your experience.***
So would I, null and void. If you do start a thread, please ping me.
me too 8^)
Hasn't Wolf been paying any attention to the news he's been reading on air for decades? He's reported earthquakes and hurricanes in years past, yet he thinks this is something new ... check the poor boy for Alzheimers!
One of those principles was that you had the PC (client) run only those incidents that they themselves brought up. In the upper levels the client is given very specific incidents to run, these were said to be common to every case. They aren't.
IMHO, All levels OTIII and above are actively dangerous, as they involve waking up traumatized bits of awareness (body thetans) and kicking them out of the body in an awake and psychotic state.
The organization itself became increasingly dysfunctional (or I became increasingly aware of the dysfunction).
At the time I left in the early 1980's a lager number of people had reached the same conclusions and were leaving in droves.
My personal breaking point was when a policy letter called 'Jokers and Degraders' came out. This said that people who made jokes about scientology were the enemy. If you've been following my posts for any length of time you know it was only a matter of time before I ran afoul of that!
Also, scientology started increasing its' costs of services. Only a little. Just 10%. A month...
That was a glaring conflict with the goal of 'clearing the planet' and indicated that they were shifting focus from eliminating the effects of the reactive mind, and concentrating on making money.
About the time I left L. Ron Hubbard died, under circumstances that suggested to me that he might have been murdered.
Is this a new ping list or a fan club? Maybe a new cult!
Way to go, L Ron Nully! :)
*whimper*
*smoootch
For some people it may be a desire, but it also seems logical to people who have a bit of scientific knowledge.
But the problem, of course, is they forget that the moon is not alone. The sun is there, too, so we need to look at the combined effect, which is more closely related to the tides. This slight correlation to some aftershocks is mentioned in the Berkeley link.
But the water tides lag behind a bit due to several factors. I am not sure if the 'rock tides' lag in a similar amount. I doubt it. If not, it would be interesting to look at that for correlation if it hasn't been done already.
LOL
Squick squick squick.
We should have a policy that people who post that have to pay a 100.00 fine toward the next fund raiser.
It's GODZILLA
