"Kerry has just spelled out the response on the floor of the Senate. It is that Congress did not have all of the information the President had which information would have led Congress to take a differenct direction. Kerry, Levin and others would not have made all of those statements if they had known what the President knew. Interesting approach, it condemns the President and absolves the Congress at the same time."

Ken Mehlmann gave the response to this on Meet The Press. It is that the reports which only the White House had were the Presidential briefings, which, according to the Robb-Silbermann report, were even more dramatic than the intelligence reports given to Congress in spelling the dangers from Iraq.

So what the White House needs to do to refute Kerry, Edwards, et al., is to quote from the Robb-Silbermann report.

Another thing they could do is bring up quotations from Clinton and Gore, who had the same information Bush had.

Bush used the same "talking points" if you will, as Clinton did 4 years ago. One other thing, Bush can cite the Downing Street Dossier (British Intelligence Report) that Tony Blair and the Brits stand-by to this very day.
