If this isn't treason, I don't know what is.

Imagine telling foreign heads of states, some of whom are NOT friendly to this country, what our military plans are.

We need a plan. An activist plan. Petitions. Phone calls. Letters.

I'm serious as a heart attack. This can not stand.

Lessee. The first public indication that America might possibly confront Iraq militarily was in the SOTU of January 29th of 2002, where Bush included Iraq in the "Axis of Evil," and said that America would "not permit the world's most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world's most destructive weapons".

Rockefeller admits he tipped of Syria weeks earlier. But the comments in the SOTU might equally be applied to North Korea or Iran, other "Axis of Evil" members with WMD programs.

When was the first indication that Iraq specifically would be confronted, with military for if necessary? Wasn't it into the Spring or even the Summer, Rockefeller then having given the Syrians months of advance warning?

Okay. So we need a Constitutional Expert.

Enters Billybob

Tell us Sir John, does TREASON work like IMPEACHMENT? Does the House vote and the Senate try the case?

It seems to me we should all be on the same page when we're writing/calling our Congresscritters, so first we need to figure out what we're going to be asking Congress to do. (My vote is to try him for Treason, but I doubt the limp ones have the courage to follow thru)

Where in the H-e double l is the "Conservative Press" who were so quick to throw water on Harriet Miers when she didn't meet their standards? If they remain silent on this, I'm going to have to assume they think Rockyfella did nothing wrong.

What if he had said the same thing on CNN or Fox - that the president had already made up his mind? would that be reason too?

There have been a number of sources that said publicly they thought the President determined early on to invade Iraq no matter what. Now I think they were probably wrong but it's not treason, IMO.

You can count me in as a contributor. I think we are at a juncture that we will look back at in 10-20 years and wonder what we were doing...I don't want to say I did nothing.

Yes. It's exactly as you say, and no one seems to be doing diddly about it. They're all just sittin' back, collecting their big bucks and pretending to be working. Politicians in individual states could do something, since they have access to the necessary forums. But they're not. I suppose everyone is just waiting for Judgement Day. However, those who could have done something to help and did not, will be answering for their inaction.
