Like states do - or should do - all the time.
This action was not in response to any gay marriage legislation. Nobody argued that bestiality should be legal. MA did not decriminalize animal abuse (they didn't throw a bone to the bestiality lobby). All they did was clean up an outdated law which is probably covered adaquately elsewhere in the code.
I know that folks who disapprove of gay marriage and the demise of anti-sodomy laws want to see this as some sort of slippery slope, but it just isn't there. This author wants to pretend that legalizing gay marriage started a trend toward bestiality and incest, but there's nothing to support that position...
