Thanks for the good info!
Last year, my family hosted a couple of basic trainees on Thanksgiving as part of a program to get GI's out of the barracks and into a home for the day. We fed them a top-notch Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. They spent the entire day with us. But I think we (my spouse and I) got more out of it than they did - it was an honor indeed.

When my son was in AIT, someone did this for him at Thanksgiving. He was so grateful and so am I. Hated that he was gone during the holiday, was just so pleased (to the point of tears) that someone made sure he didn't sit in the barracks all day and gave him a good meal.
Please accept the thanks of a parent for all of you who do these things for the troops.
