Under Clinton The Air Force gave and received numerous shots in the No-Fly zone. He also lobbed a couple of missiles into Iraq. These are all acts of war. The only difference is that he didn't have the guts to deal with Iraq properly.
I wish in all of this, someone would also include an analysis of the French, Russian, Chinese ... efforts to get sanctions lifted. These were a fear I recognized in the run up to the war. I believe that if we waited much longer there would have been significant open violation of the sanctions. Oil for Food should be viewed as the initial covert root of this lobbying for an end to the sanctions.

Whoa, WTF is going on here? Has everybody's brain turned to mush? The last I knew of Iraq and liberation being used in the same sentence was when Kuwait was liberated from Iraqi invasion.
Did I have a long nap during which time someone invaded Iraq and we have liberated them from the invader? To best of my limited knowledge, all we did was overthrow a local government.
