To believe in creationism would be to believe in a creator which would make us accountable to someone.

Why does that follow? A creationist could reasonably believe that the creator has no interest in morality or punishment, but simply created the universe. Moreover, there is no requirement that the creator continued to exist after his act of creation.

I'd never thought of that before. Interesting. It even is in line with ID. Watchmakers die all the time.
