I often find it hard to believe Maureen Dowd has any sense, at any time, of any happiness at all. And, I don't say that because she is single. She just seems, in general, sour on everyone and everything, at all times. She's usually too depressing for me to read.

I think she should quit her job and stop writing for awhile. Take up a new hobby or just do something new; maybe try ____? I don't know. Whatever. She needs a change.

I don't know. Maybe she needs to spend more time with people who really have nothing, people in prison, or kids in the ghetto, something like that, so she can understand how blessed she is in her own life. She seems totally unaware to me. Just lost.

I think the reader's letters are better written and more insightful than anything this so-called columnist writes! Boy, do they have her pegged.

Perhaps she should shun the wardrobe that makes her a caricature of a cheap street walker. Who wants to drag home this broad wearing snagged fishnets and f**k me red high heels, and stinks of cheap Scotch.

Many authorities recommend taking up Alcoholism. It works most of the time.

There were other letters that were very pro-Dowd, but, I, too, found these letters the most interesting for some reason.

I'm thinking that Dowd could easily be the next Bobbit.

Surrogate motherhood?

One unhappy girl, that's for certain.
Even if men were "threatened" by intelligent, witty women, that wouldn't apply to her anyway.
I love smart women. Married one. And my good women friends are all smart. And especially smarter than Mo. Not that that is any great accomplishment.

She's got a great gig and if people are writing it means they're reading.

Well, maybe she's to stop calling herself a girl when she's on the backside of 50Emphasis on 'backside'. As in horse's.
