The Muslim people are sick and tried of religious extremism. The religion is a personal thing and it should be confined to the private life of the people. Whoever tries to impose religious things on the people should be stopped in proper ways. Imposing ideas is against the freedom of expression and violation of the people's rights.

Which is why the present constitution, paid for with such an exorbitant price in American billions and American BLOOD, and most importantly in time, is such a slap in the face to democracy.

Its Koranic veto clauses of:
ISLAM IS THE OFFICIAL RELIGION
and
NO LAW SHALL CONTRADICT ISLAM
as well as mandating that the Iraqi Supreme Court have on it
EXPERTS IN ISLAM

assure that Sharia Law will prevail.

Say goodbye to the slightest thought that:

Unless of course the Kurds cut themselves lose from this Islamic anchor around the neck of their fledging Republic.
