The flaw in your post is how readily people will believe a lie told often enough. That strategy has worked well for demonrats and the lying MSM and Bush's approval seems to reflect that notion. That anyone believes Joe Wilson is another example and there are countless others. The lies must be countered with the truth. And often.

The truth will win if given a chance, but if the lies are never countered, the public believes they must be true.

If the lies are not countered, and the public believes them, then Darwin's Law kicks in.

I tell them one time, not because I believe they are capable of learning, but because when they don't, and the Universe crushes them to dust, I know I at least tried.
