Behe, Demski, Meyer and others have all stated unequivocably that their work is not faith-based. They have never made claims that God was the "designer."

Please do not represent ID as being "faith-based," and we can all get along in a calmer atmosphere.

Sorry, intelligent design is based on there being a "higher" power involved in the creation of things. I, like many creationists, understand that "higher power" to be God. The existence of God is not generally proven scientifically. It is a devotion based on faith. I base my belief in God in my faith in him (plus lots of other things I've seen happen which could never be proven scientifically). ID is indeed faith-based.

I've been getting along in a calmer atmosphere just fine. For some reason, people want to argue with me when I don't want to.

1) Funny how most of the most strident advocates are all connected with one church or another.
2) They are being disingenuous at best to propose some unseen hand has guided the creation and modification of life on earth, then backpedal and say 'no idea of a mechanism, no opinion of the nature of the creator, no implications of divinity'.
3) Any "theory" that lacks any evidence is automatically faith based. :^)

Please do not represent ID as being "faith-based," and we can all get along in a calmer atmosphere.

Of course. If everyone would just stop exposing the flaws, deceptions and misreprentations of ID, things would be so much more peaceful.

Behe, Demski [sic]], Meyer and others have all stated unequivocably that their work is not faith-based.

The testimony during the Dover trial was to the contrary:

"Intelligent design is just the Logos theology of John's Gospel restated in the idiom of information theory," William Dembski, one of the movement's chief proponents, said in a 1999 interview in Touchstone, a Christian magazine that Forrest cited in her testimony.
