As much as I agree with you President Bush has never done anything like this. Best we can hope for would be for Rove and others to, shall we say, stimulate congressional GOPers.

For what it's worth, every state has national RNC representatives. I talk to the two we have and complain to them. Knowing the national party is run like the state and county, it's a ground-up kind of pressure that I believe helps. These are people who are talking directly to Mehlman and these are the national committeemen and committeewomen who are responsible for the effectiveness of the RNC.

I think the Pubbies are starting to all be on somewhat of the same page because the Democrats behavior is trash anything Republican. We had a Statesman Dinner Friday and there were quite a few State Party leaders and Mark Foley and they were on the same page except for Mark Foley and his stupid anti Drilling mentality. I am beginning to see a bit of it is them versus us mentality again, with a few exceptions. I am going to be making phone calls and telling them just what I think,I am not holding back much except language.
