Sure we did. They protested the treatment of terrorists at the Abu Ghraib prison.
Reminds me of a free-for-all type argument I was in with an Iranian friend a while back: I said "our freedom is so complete we could burn our own flag if we wanted to". To which he responded "We can burn the American flag too". And I said, "Yeah, but can you burn an Iranian flag?" He stopped, looked at me, and said "Ahhhh" And then there was silence. He looked up and said, No, we cannot protest our own government". And the mood changed and it felt sad.
A terrible thing to do - make people think.
