I listen to KGO during the day. Owens is liberal, but not a moonbat like most of the after-dark crowd. I really enjoy Wilson. He too, is a liberal, but he's not afraid to point out the hypocrisy of many on the left. Wattenburg's fine, but he's never on when I'm listening to the radio.
Lee Rodgers used to be on KGO but left, for Seattle I think. I really miss Duane Garrett. He was some kind of Democrat party advisor, but he really understood politics, and his analysis was usually MOT.
My son listens to KSFO sometimes, but I don't get it where I work.
Northern California newstalk radio means only one thing to me!
SAVAGE!!!!!!!!!!
I remember Owens...He is not as hysterical as Bernie Ward.
Duane Garrett...His radio show wasn't too bad. However, he committed a suicide many years ago.
I think Lee Rodgers is on KSFO.
I agree with you on the KGO hosts. The late Duane Garrett was always interesting to listen to, as he didn't let his political sentiments cloud his analysis.
I often enjoy listening to Gene Burns from 7-10. He's pretty libertarian. Definitely down on the Iraq war, but again strikes me as pretty analytical and even-handed on most issues.
I used to listen to Owens pretty regularly, until I got the impression that he tailors his opinions on any given day to maximize his listening audience. That, and he's positively a starstruck suckup when interviewing Hollywood celebrities.
Do they have KSFO firewalled at your work? IMHO, Lee's a likeable curmudgeon who occasionally overindulges in rants; Officer Vic is the smartest thing about the show; and Melanie Morgan is like nails on a chalkboard.
