The problem Richardson has is that he's not left wing enough to win his nomination. Right now, Dean runs that party, and it's the extreme left wing that's getting the voice. This is why Lieberman never stood a chance against Kerry, and he's (Lieb) the one democrat last year that could have hurt Bush.

The problem with Lieberman is everyone liked him but wouldn`t vote for him because he comes across as a weakling. Persona plays a big role. Kerry had the whole veteran thing going for him. That was a big deal even with Dems. Its a natural draw. Kerry also had the anti-war history as well, which made it a double whammy. If Kerry is not a veteran, he would have never been the Dem nominee.
