I agree the name should be changed. And I remember years ago when we were faced with the trauma of our son severely brain injured at birth.

We were alone with no support. Worse, the doctors turned away from us and our own families shunned our problem in shame.

How we would have loved a kind word from anyone at all or even a token of sympathy. It never arrived and we just had to make do.

I cheer on this group.

I'm so sorry you experienced that. There is no shame in having one of God's special children. The way I look at it God saw something "special" in you or He wouldn't have given you the responsibility and blessing of caring for that child. I pray the blessings have and will continue to outnumber the trials.
