Saturday November 12, 2005--Forty-six percent (46%) of American adults approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Fifty-three percent (53%) of Americans Disapprove of the President's performance.
This is the President's highest Job Approval Rating in over a month. However, it remains to be seen whether this latest blip is anything more than statistical noise.
Rasmussen Reports launched our Election 2006 service this past week with polls in Pennsylvania, Washington, and Missouri. We also provided Election Night polling data for New Jersey and Virginia. Next week, Rasmussen Reports will release results for Florida, Ohio, and other states.
During 2006, Rasmussen Reports will poll every Senate and Governor's race at least once a month. Competitive races will be measured more often. This will include weekly and daily updates in the fall of 2006 for key races.
In a very early look at the 2008 Democratic Presidential Primary match-ups, Senator Hillary Clinton attracts more support than Al Gore, John Kerry, and John Edwards combined.
One of the few polling bright spots for the President is that his Job Approval Rating among Veterans is at 60%. Thirty-seven percent (37%) of Americans will do something special to celebrate this holiday.
While the President's poll numbers remain low, public perceptions of his Supreme Court nominee, Samuel Alito, have improved over the past week.
Sixty percent (60%) of Americans favor a proposal to build a barrier along the border between the United States and Mexico.
During 2004, reports on the President Job Approval were based upon surveys of Likely Voters. Typically, a survey of Likely Voters would report a Job Approval rating 2-3 points higher than a survey of all adults.
Two different polls. Rasmuseen has always been higher than the others. It was at 44% yesterday.
Price of regular in South Jersey at --drumroll---$1.99---this morning and dropping!
If you ask me not much change here, just a PROPERLY sampled poll, not like the 2 or 3 before that were all out of wack.
Was the poll taken before or after the Prez told the truth about how all these liberal scum used the same intelligence as he did and came to the same conclusions, and that they are actively undermining and spitting in the faces of our brave military men and women?
I will never ever ever ever ever vote for McStain
Among them, his Johnson-esque proposals over New Orleans. Runaway spending. Amnesty. Still no ANWAR drilling. No budget cuts. Pork addiction. Miers. Wasting time talking up Social Security reforms while having no bill on the Hill. Not fighting back. Open borders.

So 44.1% among 'Likely voters' is 41.1% among national adults.
Bush was as low as 41% in 2004 in Rasmussen among 'all adults'
Bush was as low as 40% in 2005 in Rasmussen among 'all adults'
Little change, nothing catastrophic.
I think Democrats performing worse in Virginia and New Jersey in 2005 versus 2001 is also no change.
2002 was won by the GOP after a year of hard work starting in November 2001.
That's why these "polls" are so absurd. I, my family and no one I know has never been a part of this poll. Does anyone know who they are polling? If they were to call I would have to give some low approval ratings on some issues ... but ... I would vote for him again, if it came down to that.
Some hard right "conservatives" need to get a life! You blame the President for no ANWAR drilling?!!! Don't you know it's the House that's at fault. Was the President suppose to not help the gulf region? And what exactly do you mean that he was wasting time by talking up social security reform while having no bill on the Hill? You're putting all of the blame on GWB instead of congress. It's really tiring to hear the Bush bashers putting all of the blame on GWB.
Or the mental stability of the pollees, or the trustworthiness of polls or the unbiasness of the polsters.
Darn! I wish I had stocked up on that expensive gas while it was plentiful- sure hate to go back to putting that cheap stuff in my tank.
He's done a lot of things to anger
You can't blame all of this stuff on W.
Anwar? Pork Addiction? Budget cuts?
Where is Congress in the ranks of responsibility?
Roger Ailes is playing his typical CYA game.
right on lady, I've been saying that since Fox hired him. He is a "fired" general and a looser as a candidate. What possibly could he contribute to the facts?
But,it's not over.
