Mayor Gavin Newsom says the proposition does not mean that people in San Francisco are Anti-military. He says that people just have concerns about what he calls predatory recruiting. Yeah right.

BOR is a big boy and can fight his own battles...after all he picks his own fights.
Bush, OTOH, needs all of our support to fight off the combined propaganda attack of the DNC, France, Soros, AlQueda, the UN, and the Beltway Press.

Keyes had a show... on MSNBC and it failed miserably. Yes it did, although that doesn't mean that every possible format that he might appear on would fail. Someone posted that Alan Keyes excels in a debate format, which I agree with. Matched up next to Colmes as a foil and with the chance to interrogate guests I believe he'd do quite well...better than his own show did.

I think O'Reilly is sometimes a populist hack, but he found a niche and he is somewhat entertaining. I do like the fact that he won't back down. The Republocrats in Congress could learn from big Bill on that point. (Look, he did not back down to the left and the earth did not open up and swallow him whole, the sky did not render...you know the rest)

It's true, I feel safer visting NYC than I do in SF; that's why I don't visit SF anymore. Potemkin Village is in a death spiral. It's probably a blessing the USS Iowa isn't berthed there, SF doesn't deserve it.

Sure it does. They tried several different formats and it still failed.

He is right though to be outraged against the proposal by SF.

Putting Colmes up against Alan Keyes is like sending someone with a whiffle bat to a gunfight.
More like watching the keystone kops battle it out.

We lived north of SF when 9/11 happened, and afterward it was hard to listen to the "It's all America's fault" commentats on local tv and radio--and when Berkeley basically 'seceded'
concerning the war and ruled that fire trucks could not display American flags, I was truly disgusted. I remember driving across the Golden Gate bridge back then and seeing troops atop the toll booths carrying rifles at that time, protecting the city. Now SF is too good to help protect the US??
Those who straddle the fence and try to placate terrorists
(see: France, Jordan, etc.) are just asking for trouble. Terrorists read the papers and watch FOX too! This is gonna come to no good, I'm telling you. BO'R has it right--they don't want to be part of our country, let'em go. Start their own country. It won't last long. How will they defend themselves--whip out cans of hair spray vs. guns?? Idjuts.

I don't like O'Reilly much either but he is right about SF and their people who are bashing the military. I say you reap what you sow and good for O'Reilly for speaking up.
To: GVgirl
The last time I spent a weekend, my daughter and I were constantly harrassed on the streets for spare change, drugs, cigarettes, money for beer. We couldn't walk a single block and be left alone.I live just outside of SF and when we go into town - ... well, this is how it goes.
BEGGER: Hey, do you have any spare change?"
US: No, do you. (and we hold out our hands asking them for $$)
PS... they get really angry!
We need to stop calling them "homeless people" and call them what they are...bums, delinquents, good-for-nothings, grifters, outcasts, pariahs, scumbags, slimeballs, tramps, vagabonds, vagrants....
