Metal meteorites can survive atmospheric entry. Stony meteorites tend to explode. What is it about Kansas that allows a high meteorite discovery rate? Massive agricultural activity?

What is it about Kansas that allows a high meteorite discovery rate? It must be all the UFO's that bring them in their wake. It's explained pretty clearly in the crop circles.

Or maybe Kansas just sucks.

Kansas better get ready, now millions of TROPers from all over the world will be coming to Kansas every year to bend down and kiss it.

The meteorite may be worth as much as $12 million, according to a Kansas City television station.

Are these meteor rocks green, red or silver?

Beat me to it. Anyone who watches Smallville could have predicted this.
Has he turned into a mutant yet?

It's possible there was a single strike but the somewhat large meteor broke up. The discovery rate might be due to the nature of the terrain and soil. In some places, Antarctica, Yemen, the meteorites stand out due to being vastly different from native regolith.

What is it about Kansas that allows a high meteorite discovery rate?It is the suck factor. The state sucks so much it just pulls them all in from space.

In related news, the Kansas School declared this should be called a "Fallen Stone", defined as a rock that has sinned and has been cast to the firey pits of hell.
