Immigrant workers — both legal and illegal — make up more than 25 percent of factory workers in Chicago and almost half of the blue-collar, service-related and unskilled jobs there, he said.

Chicago would grind to a halt, my aunt fanny. Let's say that 20% of the total population of Chicago is illegal. So, if they weren't there, there would be 20% less of a need to build new roads saving tax dollars. There would be more citizens paying those national and local and property tax dollars meaning a decrease in taxation. There'd be less need for low income housing. Less welfare recipients. Less free health services which the taxpayer has to foot the bill for. Less need for fire, police, and emergency since there'd be a lower population. Less drain on the school system. Less chance of violence and gang activities. And more jobs for Americans.

Gutierrez can take a flying leap.
