Bruce Willis is an A**hole! He bought out a ski resort near the Mt. Home, ID Air Force base. The resort offered the local military personnel and their families to ski free of charge one day without anyone else allowed on the mountain. When Bruce Willis bought the resort he cancelled the "Annual Military Day" and basically shut it down to anyone but his closest friends.

Do you know the name? How long ago? I can't think of a ski resort near Mountain Home.

I'd be willing to wager-you have no inkling at all, of his monetary and personal support for the military.

I'd really like a link or newspaper story to substantiate that comment.

Bruce Willis is a staunch Republican and lover of the U.S. Military. I hope you enjoy lonely places because that is where you are about to stand on this thread.

Take a time out in the corner and come back and make some sense.

Everybody's a critic... even when you do something good, they'll bitch about something you didn't do.

What a country :~D

Not accurate about the ski resort thing, seems Bruce Willis owns property near the resort, a quick google seach found this:

"Today, celebrities like Bruce Willis own property near Sun Valley and enjoy its quiet hospitality. The uncrowded conditions are a result of the secluded location, and the resort staff emphasizes customer service. Sun Valley offers elegance and the best accommodations, but it is also very relaxing and family-oriented. The services and meticulous maintenance at the resort qualify Sun Valley as the "Disneyland of ski resorts." The consensus is that although Sun Valley is hard to reach it is well worth the effort.

Check out Bruce Willis' club The Mint in Hailey (11 miles south of Ketchum), which offers dancing and occasional singing by Bruce Willis."

Does the word "liability" mean anything to you?

How dare Bruce Willis use his own property in his own way. We need another regulation or too to make these fat-cats share. To each according to his need....../sarc

I'm guessing the ski resort was sold off because it wasn't profitable, otherwise it would likely still be opperating as a commercial business instead of being a private park for Willis and his friends.

Blaming him for canceling "Annual Military Day" is childish unless he puropsefully bought the resort to bar access to it to the military.

I haven't seen anything that shows me that he's anti-military.

I didn't buy you free passes to a resort either, does that make me an A**hole too?

Looks like Soldier Mountain is open for business and gives special pricing to the military.

He probably bought it and reduced the staffing and service levels to a point where he probably can only host smaller groups.

I've been in Mountain Home many times and don't recall a ski resort this is owned by an outsider. What's the name of the resort and when did he buy it? thanks in advance for the info.

"He bought out a ski resort near the Mt. Home, ID Air Force base."

Just a question.

Where is there a ski resort neat Mt. Home, ID? The place is out in the middle of a sagebrush-covered desert!
