Sadly, there are people here on FR who are on the opposite end of the spectrum from the 9th Circus, and assert that no government agency should have authority to remove the little girl from ehr mother's custody, until the mother has been tried and convicted of a crime. I don't minimize the seriousness of CPS abuses, but there really DOES need to be a mechanism to take the child first, and prosecute later.

So your neighbor calls CPS on you and accuses you of abusing your children. You think the government should be able to seize them and put them in foster homes until you prove yourself innocent?
I for one don't wish to see a police state. Your name doesn't seem to fit your ideas.
