Thanks you for your question. Personally, I think abortion is a terrible thing. Like many families my wife and I disagree on this issue and thats OK. I support bans on partial birth abortion or late term abortions. I am in favor of parental notification. I feel adoption is an alternative that should be promoted more aggressively. I believe that the Supreme Court speaks to the issue of Roe vs. Wade and I support the rule of law.
I dont know where you stand on this issue, but I believe this election is going to be about issues that unite us such as creating jobs, adequately funding our education system and restoring trust in government and not issues that divide us. Recently one of Illinois most respected leaders, Congressman Henry Hyde, endorsed my candidacy even though he and I differ on some social issues. I believe it is important to have a leader in our Governors Mansion who can bring all people together regardless of their differing beliefs to work toward a better future for Illinois.
As far as other social issues, I oppose gay marriage, support the Second Amendment and capital punishment.
Again, thank you for your question and interest in my campaign.

I don't know if you go to the local FR Illinois page but this was posted regarding Gidwitz:
MAYOR DALEY'S STEALTH CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR OF ILLINOISDaley's last stealth candidate was George Ryan. Daley did everything short of throwing him a parade. When Richie refused to endorse Poshard and then said "he could work with Ryan", I knew for sure we were in for baaaaad times.~snip~ If the Democrats in Chicago sense they may lose the governorship to a Republican, then they might try to counter this move by working to elect a Republican they can use to their advantage. To do that, they could support a stealth candidate. Of all the Republican candidates who have announced so far, Ron Gidwitz could be Mayor Daleys stealth candidate for governor of Illinois.
So it seems that Gidwitz is like "Ryan Light" and is just another Daley Sock Puppet and as such, he can kiss my ... patooty :-)
When a "conspiracy theory" actually PASSES the Ockham's Razor test, that is a scary thing.
