As long as there are government schools there will be continual cat fights over curriculum and school policies.
Why?
Because education of children is fundamentally a transfer of moral, and cultural values. The consequences are NEVER neutral.
Regarding curriculum and policies, the government school WILL uphold and establish the moral, cultural and religious worldview of some and trash and undermine the most closely held traditions and beliefs of others.
Can this be constitutional on either the federal or state level? NO!
Government schools violate First Amendment Rights (human rights) every day of their existence.
Solution: Remove your child from government school today. Work politically to starve the government schools of money. Work to establish a system of universal private education for all children in this nation.
