Isn't it a good idea to have Arabic language news so that the Arab world can get news from a source other than Al-Jazeera and state run media outets

Perhaps, but I'm far from convinced that this site has a much different perspective than Al Jazeera. Google the name and see for yourself who's quoting the articles that this site puts out. I'd also bet dollars to donuts that the information on the Arabic side is much less tactful than what's presented in this article - if you can call that tactful at all.

Not saying it's a bad idea to have an Arabic language news source, but I'm very suspicious of where their sympathies lie.

Ok I googled them (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=adnki) but aside from some lefty peace websites and a couple of fairly innocuous islamic websites a don't see any big deal.

Perhaps you can point out the sites you saw that alarmed you.
