"it is in Iraq where we are annihilating them and we will continue to do so until they have very little power to do anything significant."

They don't need much more than a few Muslim "yoot" to kick the French out of their own country. If it was not for the Iraq War, France would be a colony of Islam by now. After Holland, Denmark and Belgium fall, they can rename the entire region "Gaulrabia"

None of the French rioters, as far as I have heard, have even mentioned Bush. The CESMs surrender even when nobody's attacking.

Some Muslims in Europe are going to Iraq to fight...

The real question is, how many come back?

Have you checked out Steyn's latest? He brings out some points about demographics that made me realize it may be much sooner that I already thought.

Mark Steyn: It’s the demography, stupid

"The tendency is to leave Europe, not only France, (for) Iraq to fight the U.S. troops and the others,"

So where's the thank you?

Some Muslims in Europe are going to Iraq to fight U.S.-led forces...

You'd think the French would be grateful, now there a fewer left to burn cars in France.

"Some Muslims in Europe are going to Iraq to fight U.S.-led forces because they see the situation as similar to the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan in the 1980s, a top French anti-terrorism official said on Thursday."

Aw heck. I was kind of hoping our presence in Iraq would incite them to go to FRANCE to fight the FRENCH! Now THAT would be poetic justice!

So if his premise is that more than ever before, the radicals are leaving France to go to Iraq, then why does France have radicals (more than ever before) inflicting damage on it?

Holy Marde! Now it all makes sense (/sarc off) Does that mean we have our troops hiding out in the schools, markets and recruiting centers (shame on US if that's the case. I certainly don't remember the jihadi's in afghanistan taking out their own people back in the 1980s when the Soviets were there.

The French official is probably correct, but then any effective response to Islamic terror would probably "fuel radicals."

"a top French anti-terrorism official". Isn't that an oxy-moron?

When we want miltary advice from the French, we'll let them know, Louis, but don't hold your breath.
