Taconite is what they make taco shells from?

Taconite is iron ore pellets. Relatively low grade ore is sifted for the iron, and then the higher-grade result is rolled into pellets about the size of a hazel nut. These are then loaded into the iron boats that come down from Lake Superiors mills to the industrial cities of Detroit, Cleveland, Toledo, Erie, etc.

Taconite is used to make the blue taco shells and tortilla chips. They will set off an alarm if you eat them and attempt to board a commercial airplane. So, be forewarned.
