It should be easy to "compromise" with the Mullahs. As long as Iranian scientists can continue to work on a Nuke, and as long as the Mullahs have the capability to Nuke Tel-Aviv within 5 seconds of Nuke completion, it should be easy to make such "compromise".
Another nail in America's coffin.
Gee, I sure hope us US taxpayers get to pay for the transport, too! If it's going to Russia, might as well save the money and leave it in Iran. Either way Iran will end up with the goodies.
Kicking the can down the road. Iran will have the bomb.
What is the matter with us is, is, one of the possible outcomes of taking the proper position on Iran is that they dare us to come in with force. We go and do that, we may find that suddenly, Russia and China decide they want to help Iran protect itself from "the US hegemon." We are too cowardly to do the right thing, because of the possibility I've mentioned. We have failed to learn anything from the 20th century. What we should have learned is, stop the growth of an Axis early. Use overwhelming force to crush up and coming procrustean systems. Do not let fear of other adversaries getting involved stop you, for you'll be fighting them in the end, anyway. But we did not learn. Woe unto us.
We may not. The problem is, our elites have fallen victim to the fears of an "On the Beach" or a Saganesque "Nuclear Winter" scenario. There is an unwritten rule, followed by the utopian intellectuals, that we all need to know. The rule is, never do anything that might bring us into war with another great power. Look at history since the end of WW2 and tell me such an unwritten rule does not somehow exist.
So what's up with this? Who issued the press release that there was a deal? Did someone make a deal that Condi did not know about and now it's too late to back out? What the heck is going on here?
The MSM got it wrong. It could also be a trial balloon.
As long as Iran doesn't have highly enriched uranium it is impossible to create a weapon. So as long as Russa is only sending 3-5% enriched uranium its safe. Basically this allows Iran to have reactors but no weapons.
Under this plan, if its followed it is impossible for them to create a nuclear weapon. This site in russia however would be more advanced than how we enrich our uranium, we use gaseous diffusion which wastes 50 times more energy to enrich the uranium
Got to keep the Russians and Chinese happy, or else we will lose the GWOT. It is sad that we had to go this far, however.
