I'm not that confident that Judge Alito will be confirmed now. Buoyed by their "successes" in the elections Tuesday and the Republican disarray over ANWR, the RATS will put on a full court press to sink Alito. They may even call the Pubbies bluff and filibuster, figuring there aren't 50 votes for the Nuclear Option. Hope I'm wrong. Spector should never have agreed to stretch out the hearings.
