One day, I hope, there might be a thread concerning Australia on FreeRepublic where this myth of Australians being disarmed might not be raised.
There are millions of legally held firearms in private hands in Australia. It is perfectly legal to own firearms provided you don't have a criminal record, though you do need to be licenced.
