House GOP leaders have decided to drop an Arctic oil drilling proposal from a budget bill.
Oh, probably not intentionally. My Guess is that the idiots in Washington have convinced themselves that 1) we'll vote for them because we've nowhere to go, '92 all but forgotton in their memories and 2) that they don't need conservatives.
To number one... HAHA!! No one blackmails me into voting for ANYONE. I've stated I won't vote for McCain in '08, I meant it. And I feel no pressure to vote for Reps that act as Liberals.
Most of these Republicans are embarrassed by conservatives anyway. How many of them even bother to defend us when Chuck calls us extremists? They don't, because they believe it too.
Let them try making the calls, walking the precincts and getting the votes without us with their Grand Moderate Army.
I started another thread about this outrage with the article filled in by Yahoo:

I stand corrected. Old age, you know...;-)
I dearly hope you're right.
You better be right! (and I'll apologize later)
The President has twisted arms in the House before successfully with the appropriate bribes of pork.
However, I didn't say without Delay they couldn't twist the rebels. I noted that the problem with the House came in his absence. In short, the new "leader" is being tested by the RINO's. break their backs and they'll walk in line like good boys and girls, as they did with Delay. Give them an inch, and they'll take more. The question isn't whether they can do it, but whether they WILL do it.
I suffer from that as well. ;)
So was it when Nixon went down or Goldwater (or both)?
This is my second post on this thread. I'm so mad I couldn't get my mind of this issue. Just as the Republican party and Bush need to get back to the base, this happens.
When they finally do try for the base, and it's coming, they have lost me. I won't vote for a Democrat but I damn sure won't vote Republican either. Hell, why vote... You certainly don't get what you elected them to do.
Bush and his RINO buddies can kiss my...... never mind, you know what I want to say but I don't want to get banned.
Never ever have I seen such two faced wimps.
Rant over. Although I won't change my mind, I feel better because I know they follow FR and will read this. Hey wimps, it's too late.
And the GOP wonders why they didn't win the Va. governor's race, why Bush's poll numbers are so bad, etc. The conservative base is fed up with their spineless Republican leaders.
Quit wimping out! It's like many of our REpublican leaders want to emulate France.
I understand very well how games are played ..
My point is ... I'm just sick of them
no
To hell with you, you GOP SOBs!!! Get lost!
Ditto.
>>At least they're consistently spineless.<<
Some consolation!
Both, actually. But it was worse for us when JFK was elected. To us, he seemed to personify evil east coast liberalism.
That is just amazingly disappointing, considering he's running for Mark Dayton's seat in the Senate. I just got done roasting Coleman twice for his ANWR opposition. Looks like I get to start all over again with Kennedy.
(Please feel free to add to this list)
GOP gutless wonders. So do we have to import more oil from the Middle East to appease Princes, Kings and dictators? I guess the Repubs just don't care about anything exept the next election. But when it comes to a $286 Billion Transportaton Bill the vote is easy. Both Repubs and dems just like to spend our money as if they owned it, but when it comes to promoting new domestic energy sources, ultimately the consumer gets the shaft.
Ironically, this is one of the few times where the House voted the other way compared to the Senate.
