Yep, it's cash under the table for those "workers." Uncle Sam tends to look the other way when it comes to employers who make big cash donations to politicians coffers. Our system is just plain corrupt. No two ways about it.
Here's a recent headline from Coeur d'Alene:
Arrest of Illegal Immigrants
Coeur dAlene Police detectives arrested two adult males by the name of Alejandro Z. Sanchez, 29 years of age of Spokane Washington, and Valentin G. Villianueva 35 years of age of Spokane Washington for grant theft and conspiracy to commit grand theft. Officers were notified on October 3rd that a theft of $20,000 worth of jewelry had occurred at K-mart between the hours of 10:00pm on October 2nd and 6:00 am on October 3rd 2005.
Employees at K-mart said the cleaning crew had arrived the evening of October 2nd and they were locked into the facility by their supervisor. The supervisor of the Floor Care Center, a cleaning company, returned at 6:00am on October 3rd and released them from the building.
Employees from K-mart discovered the theft of jewelry from an unlocked case and called police. Sanchez and Villianueva returned to K-mart the next night as part of the cleaning crew. K-mart employees notified police of their return. Officers responded to the scene and interviewed the suspects through a police detective interpreter as they do not speak English.
Detectives were able to gather information that led them to a residence at 2927 N. Regal in Spokane Washington. With the assistance of Spokane County Sheriffs Department detectives responded to that address and were able to recover all of the stolen jewelry. The jewelry consisted of diamond bracelets and rings. Living at the residence were seven adults. Detectives were able to determine that all of the residents and the two suspects are illegal immigrants. Detectives notified the federal branch of the Homeland Security Department. No action has been taken by Homeland Security at this time. Villianueva and Sanchez were booked into the Kootenai County Public Safety building and are expected to make a first appearance today.
Update FYI: K-Mart agreed to deportation for the thieves working as janitors for them. Wonder how long it'll take the illegals to relocate north of the border once again.
You know MamaD, this all just irks me. Why does K-Mart have to agree for them to be deported?? Has law enforcement/government in this country gone nuts? These cleaning crews are usually contracted out. The guy that owns that company should be fined or deported himself! [If K-mart was their employer they should be fined BIG BUCKS then]. Yeah I know, illegals doing the jobs that no one else will do. I say put the welfare recipients to work doing all those jobs! That includes all the phony Social Security disability people too.
7 adults living in the house.......where are the 16 children?
The news from the big cities in Texas is all about gangs, shooting, stabbing, rape, murder and DRUNKS DRIVING and killing innocent people........it's horrible and it's not the Episcopalian's. The MickyD commercials on TV look like spanish folks and the words are in spanish.
I rarely go to fast food places, but I was going to stop at a Subway the other night. I walked up to the door and saw about 6 punk mexicans hanging out in there with the one that worked there. I just did an about face and left. Never going back there. Yep just doing the jobs no one else will....but they will lose customers big time!
BTW, Wal-Mart said today their employees will only say Happy Holidays this year not Merry Christmas. I rarely go there either except once in awhile to get contact lenses. Crossing them off my list after I call the local store.
