FReepmail me to get on or off the list.
Injured Walter Reed patients, including amputees, have repeatedly told us how important it is for us to be there to counter Code Pink.
Please come out this Friday for Veterans' Day and honor our wounded veterans now at Walter Reed.
Some Q and A here:
Q: Will I be attacked by leftists?A: Quite unlikely, that there will be a serious problem. There is great security, both in our numbers, frequent police patrols, and the nearby guards at Walter Reed. The leftists are almost always across a 6 lane busy road, separating us from them.
Q: Is there a chance that I'll be arrested?
A: We've never had anyone arrested in 7 years. Behave properly, follow our rules, and you won't be arrested.
If we can sufficiently outnumber the leftists often enough, embarrassment may cause the leftists to stop these outrageous morale-damaging ("Maimed for a lie" was one of their signs) demonstrations at the hospital.
Our troops are bold enough to face bullets, mortars, IEDs, and suicide bombers. Are you bold enough to get out from behind the keyboard, FReep in person, and stand up for the wounded troops at Walter Reed?
If you're in the DC area and don't have family or work considerations that keep you from FReeping, can you spare a few hours on a Friday night? Will you?
Disclaimer (as inspired by a suggestion of BufordP, but language is mine): If anyone on this thread refers to some FReepers not doing enough for the troops and just sitting at home on their keyboards, but you are doing something else for the troops, then the comments are not directed at you. Please don't respond defensively. Just keep helping the troops in your own way. Come out to join us if you can.
Great report, Bill !
Many thanks to all FReepers and all Rolling Thunder veterans and mates.
Even after a Washington Post article that was between-the-lines favorable to their cause the Sunday directly before this FReep, the lefties were still outnumbered two-to-one, in a city that is 90% liberal. Those are not winning numbers, for sure.
Come on out and have some fun with us this week, FReepers, wherever you may be. We have been fortunate to have FR visitors from California, Texas, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arizona, remote parts of southern and western Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, remote (Red) parts of Maryland, and more.
