No matter how it is portrayed, the results last night were basically a draw. Both parties held the same seats they held before, and the initiative losses in CA are offset by those in OH. Hard to see any nationwide trend developing here.
If you want to get technical, here in VA, Republicans picked up the Lt. Gov seat.
I think that bears repeating. Its considered a "bad" day for Republicans when we dont crush the Democrats these days, I'd say that shows how well it has been going for us. I mean, look, did people REALLY expect Californians to vote how they didn't? Sure we had hoped, but c'mon, its Cali afterall. Having said that, yeah, we could use some 02 to the fires, but I'm not upset over it.

Katie Couric and the MSM is categorizing this as a major win for the dems. As I see it, two governorships in two democratic states. North Virginia, highly democrat to beging with.
As for California. You have to hand it to Arnold, he's trying.

Texas was a huge black eye for the Dems too.
So, was the 2004 Presidential election a draw because we held the Presidency?
It is sad when you can't get 50% of the people to vote to inform the parent when a teenager/child gets an abortion.

Except the democrat supreme court justice in PA who was booted out!
