So how do we distinguish between the muslims who are at war with us and those who aren't?

Ask the american soldiers in Iraq who do a pretty good job of killing insurgents while leaving the innocent people in that country unharmed.

It's pretty easy to know when someone is waging war on you- generally, they are the ones shooting at you.

Did the actors in the attacks of 9/11/01 shoot at anyone in this country?

Yes it's easy to shoot those who are shooting at you, a good simple war we can win. The problem is when the enemy doesn't stand and fight but plants bombs by the road side; bombs that are often hidden, and since no locals come forward to warn us of the bombs placement, we lose good men.

The locals don't have to fight, but they DO have to have the courage to support us with information, while our troops support them. If they don't have that courage, we may lose and so will they.
