Hehehe.
Well San Francisco is one huge freak show (it and Oakland and Berkerly). But even then, most (even liberals) are not as cooky as them.
By the way, San Francisco...ONLY county to support Prop. 80. Now that TRUELY shows how out of step they are...even with the rest of the state! They also supported Prop. 79 too (though they are not alone here, since Alpine and Imperial supported it). But to be fair to them, San Francisco only supported Prop. 80 by 53%, but still, that's a majority!
Oh yeah, and they supposed the gun ban, AND a 'ban' of recruiters on campus. Well it isn't really a ban, more like an advisory since, San Francisco isn't completely dumb (they knew that if they really banned it, they would lose Federal funding).
The prevailing SF belief is that communism is the best form of government, but that, sadly, the previous practitioners did not do it the right way. Fortunately, SF politicians have now figured out how to do it right, and they are busily working to get this noble system re-established in Baghdad-by-the-Bay.
Soon, word of this paradise will spread around the globe. The downtrodden will recognize how the intellectual Gods leading the City and County of San Francisco have struck upon the social and governmental model that will bring peace, prosperity, love and harmony to all mankind - and not struck upon it by accident, mind you, but by applying their superior intellect, social instincts, and unsurpassed understanding of the human spirit and needs.
A shining example, capturing the imagination of people around the world, will be how San Francisco, conclusively and lastingly overcoming basic human nature, has established an enduring system of cheap energy by controlling the evil corporations that profit from the misery of the downtrodden. Low cost electricity will flow forever, recharging everything from electric vehicles to dildos overnight (or overday for the latter) for pennies.
Yes, the world will realize, government knows best. And we must celebrate, nay worship, the enlightened gentle leaders of this paradise called the City by the Bay, surrender unto them the reins of the world, and sit back and enjoy our enduring happiness.
Sometimes I wonder if they're too extreme for even Barbara Boxer. ;)
