As a resident of NJ for 34 years, I truly believe that the majority of people living in this state somehow benefit from the excessive taxation of the "wealthy" folks who clearly make up a minority.

There is no doubt in my mind that corruption is rampant in the urban areas (e.g. Newark, Camden, Paterson, etc.).

NJ is a cesspool of democrat political corruption. I'm seriously thinking about CT or NY for my next move.

Was it NEw Jersy or one of the other Atlantic states that instituted a "millionaire tax" and subsequently saw tax rolls fall as rich people fled?

What the "soak the rich" crowd doesn't realize is that if they soak the New Jersey rich much more and New Jersey companies much more, they'll move elsewhere and take their money with them.

"..the majority of people living in this state somehow benefit from the excessive taxation of the "wealthy" folks who clearly make up a minority."

Corzine said he would lower taxes for middle incomers.

Nobody asked Daddy Warbucks what constitutes "middle income" though. My guess is anybody earning less than $20,000. (And the average income in New Jersey is far higher than that, as is the cost of living, thanks to paying for all the leftist beaurocracies in that state.

"I'm seriously thinking about CT or NY for my next move."

It's truly a sad state of affairs when one seriously considers NY or CT as a refuge from "democrat political corruption". I feel for ya!

It could be that the majority THINKS it benefits from the "soak-the-rich" taxation in socialist NJ. Maybe P.T. Barnum was right about NJ at least.
