Damn! What happened with Kilgore?

Dick Morris saying on Hannity & Colmes that 'Kilgore ran a really dumb campaign.'

I agree with Larry Sabato that this is bad news for George Allen's 2008 chances.

nutmeg,
In My Humble Opinion, it was the dumbest campaign I think I've ever seen. Kilgore spent all his ad money talking about how Kaine wouldn't enforce the death penalty and even compared him to Hitler in on commercial. Whoever he paid for the ad campaign (his brother??) needs to never work in advertising again. An awful campaign.

His ads were pretty universally hated in Northern Virginia, a place where I know a lot of people. This is no suprise to me at all.

Kilgore was weak and had no policies except those at the far right (far far FAR) of the party. He was an unappealing candidate who fared poorly in the debates, ran ill-advised commercials and didn't have a semblance of message.

I'm surprised he kept it as close as he did.
