If you do not ask, you cannot find out. (don't get snarky with me. it WAS a serious question.)

I keep listening to the TV while I'm getting stuff ready for a fishing trip tomorrow. When I switch to the local channels all they are doing is regular programming. Are they doing updates periodically?
I might have to turn on a radio to the Lafollotte station. I think it is 105.9 FM in case you want to listen. I listened to it some today on the way home (after I found out what happened) and it had pretty up to date reports.

if you don't ask, you won't look like an idiot when proven wrong.
What is REALLY that important at the time? Personally, I think the conditions of those shot FAR outweighs what the shooter looks like, given, as the story said, that the shooter was caught.
To: MikeinIraq
Not if you are trying to prove a theory. The condition of those shot will not be improved or downgraded by this knowledge, and focusing on them now will not allow us to find out the reasons behind this event, and thus look to see if it can be prevented in the future, or what the root causes of the even were.
Personally, I don't worry about "looking like an idiot when proven wrong". I'd rather find the solution, for that will prevent the appearance of idiocy, in the long run. After all, if you dont take risks, you gain nothing.

He looks like the other school killers.
I wonder if he was on Ritalin and if he was being bullied.
I am not blaming the victims but I do not think public high schools are good places for geeky white boys on Ritalin.
If the parents could not homeschool or private school, the boy ,they should have moved.

>>He looks like the other school killers.<<
I thought the same thing. He put me in the mind of the kid who shot the students here in Santee at Santana High School a few years ago.
My prayers go out to the families of the victims.

IIRC Wisconsin is debating that in the CCW law they are working on.

The suspect is identified as Kenny Bartley, 15. He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in LaFollette with an injury to his hand. After receiving treatment he was then taken to the Campbell County Jail.
He is the son of Ken Bartley, owner of Ken's Pioneer Arcade, one of the businesses raided last week by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for running a video poker operation.
Students and teachers describe the boy as troubled, and until recently, attended an alternative school.
Investigators have not yet been able to determine a motive for the shooting.
Just remembering, wasn't the Lafollette Mayor Clifford Jennings just arrested with regard to running a gambling establishment? Hmmm.....
Yep, it was Kenny's Pioneer Trading Post. and at L & M's on Highway 63

HangnJudge,
I just moved to Campbell County last June, and remember just last week when the Mayor of Lafollotte got arrested for the video poker.
Now is the the mayor's son?

No,
But the boy's father owned the illegal gambling joints
Very interesting correlation, I wonder if the Principals were in some way
involved in setting up the sting, and the boy found out....
Now this might be getting interesting
No wonder the father showed up at the hospital with a lawyer in tow
To: HangnJudge
HangnJudge,
It IS getting more interesting by the minute. Keep posting if you hear anything else, I am going to stay up till the late news to see if there's anything new reported.

Its really sad.
Apparently the Assistant Princ. was a retired Lt. Colonel from the army, had taken up a teaching career 8 yrs ago.
What the hell has gone wrong with kids?
