Your car is part of your life, in the sense that you spent time working to earn the $$ to buy it. Same goes for anything else you own.

Property crime is incremental murder, as the perpetrators are stealing your time, and time is something in life you can never get back. Sure we all have insurance, but we still pay one way or another.

That's why I hold thieves in the lowest possible esteem.

Property isn't really part of your life. You can buy a thing and enjoy it, but in the end it's just "stuff."

I hold thieves in low regard as well, but have no desire to have a dead one in my kitchen because he tried to steal "stuff." And I certainly don't want some dead low life defining my life.
