Here in Houston, I'm signed up on a program which alerts me when an offender moves into my zip code. It gives a photo and a description of the offense.
Michigan has pictures too. In my county, I can also check some actual court records. Found out one local guy who lives across the street from a park is not allowed within 500 feet of a park. I live on the other side of the park in view of his home.
