Ritalin isn't the problem in this area Meth however is. Meth has replaced moonshine and pot fields as a quick means of cash. Anderson and Campbell Counties have more than their fair share of the states meth producers.

Want a clue? Here it is. Why is that county having an ongoing type A Hepatitis problem they can't seem to get a handle on? Likely answer? A drug problem they can't control either.

The county is poor, unemployment is high, the mines closed down long ago even most strip mines are mostly shut down. A few small companies that pay just above minimum wage and a lot of persons out of work in that area.

The community has it's good and bad along that mountain. Last week the county south of it had a road crew shot at. Around Halloween in some places along the mountain you don't go up there at night. I've heard deputies and VFD's get trapped in by morons with chain saws to cut trees down over the road, tires to burn in the road after that is accomplished, and no way in or out for those responding to it. I know because I hear the radio traffic in that area. The worse area for it is Briceville but it's not in Campbell County but near it.
