"Yep. I think it should be SOP to do such a search on any leftwing moonbat spotted."
It can be rather eye opening. The first time I really did it and posted the results was when the AP maggot lied about the crowd cheering when GW announced that Clintoon had a heart attack. That one was really bad.
This search works better on Yahoo.com than google.

As bad as the homosexual agenda usually is, I don't see what this incident has to do with it. No doubt most liberals are on the record supporting the homosexual agenda (since that is one of the issues on which there is significant dispute), which would explain the correlation.

You'd be stunned to see what the lectures in say a math class deal with: like voting for John Kerry. I don't know what this has to do with Calculus, but they do it anyway.I've come to wonder if the lefty profs aren't mesmerized by the unusual phenomenon presented by the simultaneously existent zero delta of Democrat accomplishment and infinite delta of Democrat spin!

I would recommend any correspondence be sent to the University President Cc'ing the Board of Regents (
http://www2.state.ia.us/regents/) to put the fire on the him to act. Any Iowans should also capitalize on the state funding of UNI by mailing their elected officials, and any alumni should voice their displeasure to the alumni office (
https://www.uni.edu/unialumni/secure/contactus.shtml).
I myself navigated through a PhD, but was lucky to have been in the natural sciences where ability is still valued over regurgitating leftist drivel. Although frantic reactions and haranguing is to be expected from the left when they are threatened by a logical, well founded argument, it is unconscionable that such a completely unveiled threat of retaliation over external beliefs from a tenured faculty go unnoticed.

I'm starting to think that maybe education is a bad mistake. Somebody already posted a reply to this, but I gotta chime in here.
Your original impression is still correct. Education is a good thing.
Those suppressors of dissent could use an education.
But they have now structured the academy to prevent their ever getting it.

Might also be effective to contact the dean of his school or his department head.

I'm starting to think that maybe education is a bad mistake. That's what they want you to think. The goal is to a)keep conservatives from earning doctorates, and b) to keep them out of academia.
Once you have your degree, many doors will open for you, and you can leave them in your dust.

Wallace Hettle , in my opinion, embodies everything that is wrong with the modern academy. If his behavior over the last several days is any indication, he is doctrinaire and vindictive; and he is an intellectual coward who uses his authority to crush dissent and punish those who dare to voice it. He is meanspirited, and he hides behind the protection of his tenure. People like professor Hettle need to be held to account if we are ever to reclaim the integrity of the humanities departments, overwhelmingly comprised of those who share Hettles ideological bent (though not necessarily his character deficiencies). Unfortunately, this professor is not in the minority. This happens routinely, only this student was brave enough to fight back.

There is no such thing as an abuse of power at colleges and universities. They're thinking about the little people like you. So stop trying to reign them in and let them get back to the work of the American people. You forgot your /sarcasm tag.

Kind of funny in a way.
That is why I tried not to venture to "that" side of the campus at Iowa State. Had an English class where the teacher started off with "I am a lesbian, vegetarian, Buddhists, and I hate engineers." Since I was a Christian, meat eating, male, Chem E major, you can guess how much fun it was.
