Actually a laser guided 20 mike with exposive rounds would be quicker and more effective...hope the surviving pirates can swim with sharpnel embedded in their torsos. Wounded bodies make for great shark magnets...

Exactly - when will enough people realize that terrorists, pirates, murderers, and other dangerous scumbags need to be good and DEAD!! Driving them off with a sonic weapon is nice for this occurrence, but it just means they will try their attacks again with others less prepared to deal with them..........

Two fifty caliber machine guns and two of the automatic grenade launchers we have mounted on our military vehicles would have done the job.I wouldn't get on one of these cruise ships if all they had to protect you with was a gun that shoots noise.

I would think someone had to have some kind of firearm on that ship and no one even fired back?
Are they not permitted to engage someone that is shooting at them?
