If the people REALLY want it to be SAVED is key.
My mother's friend lived in a house with her husband for 1 year and they never spoke to one another, he finally told her he did not love her, he did not want to be with her.

Should she have tried to save a marraige like that?

Why did they get married in the first place?  Did they ever love each other?  What did each party do to erode what they once had?  Both parties almost always contribute to a breakdown and both parties need to change to restore what they once had.

The only person she could change, however, was herself.  Was she willing to change?  Or was she insisting that he had to make all the changes?

The definition of insanity is repeatedly performing the same action and expecting a different result.
