Ex-president Bill Clinton is arguing that tighter immigration laws are hurting America, saying the new restrictions aren't worth it even if they stop the "one out of a zillion [foreigners] who might have a bomb."
"I'm very worried that one of the consequences of our tightness on immigration and visas as a result of 9/11 and terror, has led to a drop in many places of the number of foreign students coming to the United States to study and be graduate students," Clinton told an audience at the University of Minnesota on Saturday.
He said the U.S. needed foreign students because "we are nowhere near graduating enough scientists and engineers to maintain, given the size of our economy, a leadership role in the global economy."
Clinton said the terror trade-off wasn't worth it.
"When we got real tough on visas - because one out of a zillion of them might have a bomb - we lost a lot of brains. We might have dodged a bomb but we lost a lot of brains."
On another subject, the former president also praised actress Geena Davis, star of the new ABC Show "Commander in Chief."
"I did see one episode of 'Commander in Chief'," Clinton told the crowd. "Geena Davis is good for two reasons. She looked tough but not macho. She didn't look lion-tough. And she spoke Spanish. So I thought those two things were good."
Yeah, look at all the benefits open immigration laws have brought to France.
And we're next. Just wait for a recession/depression, when we will experience our own "Aztlan reconquista intifada."
You know, this is THE one case where I might make a trade of an American citizen (Bill) for an illegal alien. At least the illegal alien will work.
My university should be renamed "The Chinese University of the Eastern U.S." We are educating thousands of Chinese students (mainland) who then go back to China and hate us.

You are right. Without the illegals, a lot of Dems would not have been voted into office. That is how Bob Dornan lost his seat in California. And let's not forget about the ex-cons and dead people. Notice that Hillary and the Dems (and some disgusting Repubs as well) do not support federal legislation to make a picture ID required when someone votes. "Undue burden" on the citizenry. Hillary also wants every vote counted even if the voter screws up the ballot and no one can tell what the mess means. Voting is a privilege, not a right.
So, says Clinton, we lose several buildings, several planes, and 3,000 innocent citizens ever so often.
It's well worth it! More important that we welcome persons from all over the world to cross illegally into the U.S. through our open borders.
Clinton's goal?
He is definitely vying for King of the World. His anti-American sentiments are coming through. That's why he thinks HIS WIFE would make a good President. To further the downfall of the U.S., and to assist him in his quest for President of the U.N.

Terrorists will not use the southern Mexican/US border in which to infiltrate into America.
Any terrorist with half a brain will come across the northern Canadian/US border, considering the fact that he or she already has a built in network of disaffected Muslim jihadist cells living in Canada who will help hide and support said Muslim while he plans his trek across the border.
The flood of illegals coming across the southern border are, for the most part, uneducated scrufty types who seem to care little about becoming Americanized, or about politics, or about any of the issues we need to maintain a vibrant society.
They simply want jobs and money, and they've heard that they can live fairly high on the hog (govt. food, generous gringo's, etc) while seeking some type of living.
I like people of Spanish, Latin, Mexican heritage.
I just don't want my kids and grand kids to be forced into learning Spanish, or to be told that Cinqo de Mayo (or whatever it is) was the greatest of all days, or to be put in danger by any of the thousands of roving Latino gangs who, besides being mostly illegals, also deal drugs and threaten their neighbors.

French Youths Say They're Marginalized

Theirs is a drab life of days spent smoking hashish, hanging out on street corners. They fidget and talk big. The only things they have in abundance are time and rancor. Ask what their dreams are, the response is blank stares.
Shouting over each other to be heard, the young toughs vented about their lives in Paris' suburban housing projects and the rioting setting them ablaze.
"We hate the police," cried one teenager. "It's the start of war," yelled another. "Put this in your notebook ... ," said a third, rattling off a string of obscenities about France's tough-talking interior minister, Nicolas Sarkozy.
All French-born children of Arab and black African immigrants, this group of a dozen or so teens at Les Tilleuls housing project north of Paris complained of being marginalized by French society.
Years ago, France welcomed their parents as labor, often to do menial jobs most French did not want, they noted. And now, there are no jobs _ or no one willing to give them one, they said.
"This isn't good for anything," says Farid, 20, angrily shaking his French identity card. He and the others refused to give their surnames, saying they fear repercussions from police or in the community.
None of the youths said they have participated in arson attacks, but their sympathies are clearly with the rioters who have shaken France to its core in the nights of mayhem that spread across the country from tough Paris projects like Les Tilleuls.
"The 'elders' of the projects have tried to calm us down, but we don't care," said 20-year-old Karim, gesticulating wildly with his arms and then concentrating on rolling a joint......(snip)
The impeached one's solution to the shortage of engineers and scientists in graduate school is bass-akwards as would be expected from an enemy within. Actually we need to have a national push for more of our own kids to start pursueing science and engineering careers...it's happened before.
