The mini-14 and 30 generally have a fine reputation for reliability and a poor one for accuracy.

really!? Mine hasnt been grossly inaccurate. Groups at 50-100 yards have been "decent" but not great. It's just that damn jamming problem that makes me hate the gun.

I didn't say grossly inaccurate but that isn't too far off the mark. I have owned several Mini-14's in various configurations. They are a lot of fun and are accurate enough for most uses. Also I don't recall ever having a jam with one.

Now I have never owned a Mini-30 but from talking to others it seems they behave pretty much just like the mini-14, that is reliable but not real accurate. I think a typical 100 yard group would be around 5-6 inches. Some would do better some not.
